Law enforcement authorities reported that a pet zebra froze to death after getting its hind hooves stuck on a fence in a family farm on Wednesday in the midst of the polar vortex that sent temperatures plummeting below zero.
One of several exotic creatures that were housed on the property near Delphi, Indiana, the mammal could not bear the cold when temperatures sank to -17F in the region, Daily Mail reports.
