The Villalobos Rescue Center is no stranger to seeing dogs of all kinds mistreated by their owners. One of the most common, unfortunately, is seeing dogs who have been completely abandoned by those responsible for them. On the next episode of 'Pit Bulls & Parolees,' Earl and Toney discover one such dog, and provide them the love and care that the dog should have had from the start.

It's becoming all too common for those who abandon their pets to leave them tied up and alone. Why this is done is a mystery - sometimes it's so that the dog does not follow the abandoning owners, sometimes it's done as a mercy so that the dog doesn't get into trouble wandering the streets as a stray. Unfortunately, this can do more harm than good, as a dog who is tied up has no means of procuring food or water for themselves and has to depend entirely on the mercy of civilians to call animal shelters or operations like the Villalobos Rescue Center to take the dogs in and thankfully, this is just what happens here. Toney and Earl will be taking the dog in and taking them in for a check-up to the show's favorite vet, Doctor Samantha, just to make sure everything's okay.

Not all problems with rescued pets are physical, however. This episode of 'Pit Bulls & Parolees' - called 'One Man's Treasure' - will also see Mariah dealing with a dog that's been abandoned. The dog is going to need all the nurturing that Mariah has to offer, as its suffering from several neurological problems that are not as easily fixed as heartworm, emaciation or common behavioral problems. The Villalobos Rescue Center, however, is an all-round service and will do everything in their power to help the dogs that they rescue.

The official synopsis for the episode reads, "Toney and Earl rescue an aggressive dog that is found tied up in front of an abandoned home; Mariah helps a deserted canine that is struggling with neurological issues."  This episode of 'Pit Bulls & Parolees' airs August 29, at 9 pm EST, on Animal Planet.
