In most cases of animal rescue, the dogs come to the Villalobos Rescue Center, or they're called in. However, in the next episode, it's going to be up to Mariah to hunt down the person who needs to give up her pet. When a homeless woman finds herself no longer able to take care of her beloved pit bull, there's only one place she knows will give her pet the love and attention he needs but Mariah is going to have to find her, first. However, the homeless woman isn't the only one having to give up her beloved pet, as Lizzy is forced to say goodbye to her favorite rescue.

The last episode of 'Pit Bulls & Parolees' saw central employee Earl, an essential fixture of the Villalobos Rescue Center team, fall from grace as he was arrested for speeding and possession of prescription painkillers, to which he'd developed an addiction. While Earl is out on bail dealing with an uncertain future, life at Assumption Parish goes on, and the dogs at Villalobos still require attention. Tania and Toney meet with a pair of new adopters, who are looking for not one, but two dogs to take home with them.

Lizzy, in the meantime, has a difficult goodbye to make. After growing close to one particular rescue while helping him through his medical issues, she is going to have to prepare to say goodbye to him as she finds him a home to be adopted into. There's no end of dogs coming to the Villalobos Rescue Center, and they can't stay there forever, or, at least, that's always the hope. It's hard not to develop an attachment to the dogs one rescues, however, seeing them through their pain and taking care of them, as we saw last week with Spencer's first real rescue, Jan.

The official synopsis for the episode, titled 'Everything for Emma', reads, "Mariah searches for a homeless woman needing to surrender her beloved pit bull. Tania and Toney find the perfect pair of dogs for former adopters, while Lizzy prepares her favorite rescue for a forever home after dealing with his medical issues."

This episode of 'Pit Bulls & Parolees' airs September 5 at 9 PM ET on Animal Planet.
