Piers Morgan has found a new subject to take offense with, the 'Good Morning Britain' host was left perplexed when the British town council took a vote on whether Father Christmas should be referred to as a man. This gender debate seems to have left the host with much to say. Yahoo News reports that when Morgan read a newspaper article that described how in Newton Aycliffe in County Durham, Father Christmas has been replaced by Mrs. Claus for a charity parade, after members of the town’s council highlighted the right of women to play Santa, he reacted rather strongly. "Father Christmas, as his name suggests, is male. Father Christmas, for all of time, has been Father Christmas. He’s called Father Christmas!” he exclaimed before screwing up the paper. “The world’s gone nuts.”

During the course of the episode, Morgan tried to mock gender-fluidity by pretending to be offended by people who assume Barbie is a woman, claiming that she might gender fluid and identify as a man. He said, “How do we even know that this is a girl, by the way?” he asked. “Is she identifying as a woman or not?  Or is she identifying as gender fluid? In which case, on this particular day, she might be identifying as a man." He continued probing the subject saying, “And actually, I’m offended on her/his behalf, that you may not have realized that Barbie is now identifying as a man. So actually, you’ve caused me great offense.”

Morgan's controversial dismissive attitude towards gender-fluidity comes a day after he described it as a 'farce' during a debate about transgenderism. reports Yahoo News. The debate began after the news that a school in Brighton has 76 children who identify as transgender.

Arguing with model and LGBTQ+ activist Munroe Bergdorf, Morgan said: “Where does this end? Do we end up with literally nobody in the future identifying as male and female?” To which Bergdorf replied: “Maybe.” “Why would you be happy with that?” Morgan asked. “Some people are trans and that’s the fact,” Bergdorf replied.

Morgan went on to say that all of this was a 'fad' and asked, “Is it possible that they’ve all latched on to a fad that is getting more and more attention, and basically having their minds turned to gender fluidity?” Bergdorf tried to get her point across and make Morgan see some reason by saying, “But you bring gender non-binary people onto your show and berate them.” Morgan replied by saying, “I challenge them about gender fluidity. Gender fluidity to me, I think it’s a farce.” Bergdorf said: “That’s your own bigoted opinion.”
