Philly couple plan massive Avengers-themed orgy after lockdown to beat ‘longest dry spell in history' blues

A couple recently decided to give their neighbors a laugh during the coronavirus pandemic by posting 30 flyers advertising an Avengers-themed 'Post Pandemic Pan-Philadelphia Orgy' around their neighborhood. The event initially started as a joke, but the pair now intends to actually host it after receiving numerous inquiries about the same.

Bob, a lighting engineer, and Alyssa, a sex therapist — both chose to withhold their last names — told New York Post that "the orgy is on."

According to the couple, neither have ever attended an orgy. However, they now feel obligated to host one as soon as the ongoing crisis blows over.

“This would be new territory for us, but it’s something that we’ve been open to,” Alyssa, 29, who identifies as bisexual, told the outlet.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Bob identified himself as "heterosexual but open to new experiences" and added he has previously had “small group experiences” but nothing like a full-blown orgy.

According to the outlet, the pair began dating in December after meeting at a local bar. They decided to quarantine together when the pandemic hit and are now grateful to not be among the "sexless masses".

“Humanity is currently in the middle of the largest dry spell in all of history, that’s what inspired the flyers,” Bob said. “It may seem strange to advertise an orgy in such a public way, but yes, we wanted to bring a smile to our neighbors’ faces."

The couple revealed that they have managed to spread amusement and genuine interest based on the feedback they've received — and that it goes much farther than their South Philly neighborhood.

“It really took us by surprise,” Alyssa said of the response they’ve received, with some inquiring about the event from as far away as Nevada.

According to Bob, the "demand is overwhelming." He said they've received emails from around 80 people thus far (excluding hundreds of internet comments) and that at least half of them were serious potential participants.

“A lot of messages are just, ‘is this real?’” he said. “I think we turned down some people at the beginning because we didn’t realize we were for real.”

Speaking of the Avengers theme, Alyssa said it was just because they "like spandex, bodysuits, and tights".

“It seemed like a sexy, easy theme, and since this is new for us, it felt good to have some direction," she said, noting how these costumes would naturally incorporate masks.

One of the potential participants told The Post via email that they had already claimed “dibs on Dr Strange,” adding they're “83% sure I have the antibodies."

Bob and Alyssa originally planned on hosting the orgy in their apartment itself, but they're now thinking they may need to rent a bigger venue.

“No matter how big this gets, we’ll put something together,” Bob told the outlet.

The couple had hoped they would be able to host the event in June, but the pandemic has gone on longer than they expected.

Referring to Pennsylvania’s three-color reopening, Bob said "an orgy sounds like a thorough phase green activity". However, Alyssa said they were "willing to be patient." Both agreed that not being able to set a date wasn't a major issue. What matters to them is that the orgy interest has given them the "promise of eventual group fun."

“We don’t know what the future holds for us,” Bob told The Post. “We just want something to look forward to.”
