Tenants left stunned after pervert landlord videotaped them having sex and made over 180 videos of naked women
A court in the UK heard that a perverted landlord used to watch his tenants having sex and showering after he put hidden cameras in their rooms. Fifty-nine-year-old Paul Dunster had managed to make 183 videos of his unsuspecting victims who had rented out rooms from him over the course of a 10 year period. He had done this to "satisfy his sexual needs". A judge in the court told him that it was a "sad" and "disgusting" story.
The authorities raided his home, located in Portsmouth, Hampshire, and they found two memory cards in the home containing the sick videos of the naked women.
Initially, Dunster had denied both the charges of voyeurism. However, later he confessed to making the secret videos after he installed hidden cameras in the bedrooms and bathrooms of one of the homes he had rented out to the women who had no idea what they were in for when they took up the property, reported Mirror Online.
The prosecutor, David Reid, told the jury at the Portsmouth Crown Court, "The first memory card had 18 videos which showed sexual encounters between men and women in the bedroom. Those videos lasted a total of 20 minutes but none of the tenants were aware of the camera. The second memory card was taken from the bathroom and showed women having baths and showers — women who were also totally unaware they were filmed. There was significant planning to this and it was an abuse of trust as the women were tenants."
The court also heard that Dunster, who is a veteran of the British army, was the landlord of seven apartments which all had outstanding mortgages that totaled £870,000. Mitigating Daniel Reilly told the jury in the court, "Many residents are extremely grateful he lets them rent rooms the way he does."
The sentencing judge in the case, Judge David Melville QC, said during the hearing, "The residents would have been disgusted to know you had a camera set up in the bedroom to film people having sex. I'm sure people would also have been disgusted to know you set up a camera in the bathroom to satisfy your sexual needs. It is a sad story and one which is disgusting."
Dunster has been asked to pay up a fine of £5,000 as well as an extra of £500 in other costs. He was also given 100 hours of unpaid work that he is supposed to do and 20 days of rehabilitation. At the end of it, Dunster was lucky that he escaped jail time for all the videos he took of his victims.
