Pedophile couple who filmed themselves sexually abusing a baby sentenced to 21 years in prison for their 'horrific crimes'
A pedophile couple who filmed themselves sexually abusing children were jailed. Mark Gable, 33, and his girlfriend, Jessica Fry, 27, were arrested in May after officers found a video of him sexually assaulting a baby. Other videos and photographs of him in his violent behavior were also found. As reported by Mirror, the duo was sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court. Gable was handed an eleven and a half year sentence, while Fry would spend ten years in prison.
According to a Sun report, the couple had managed to hide the footage with complex software. There was also footage of Fry abusing a child. They also admitted to a string of offenses against defenseless youngsters, including a baby. The court was informed about how parents trusted the couple to take care of the children and these incidents were believed to have taken place 2017 and 2019. Gable admitted to three counts of assault by penetration of a child, one count of sexual assault on a child, two counts of making indecent images of children and four counts of taking indecent images of children.
Fry admitted one count of assault of penetration on a child, three counts of taking indecent images of children, one count of sexual assault of a child and two counts of distributing indecent images of children, the site added. The pair have also been put on the sex offenders register for life. Talking about the sentence, Detective Constable, Jeanine Atkins-Calver of Essex Police, said: "Mark Gable and Jessica Fry are dangerous and methodical pedophiles."
"Gable and Fry worked together to not only abuse very young children but also documented that abuse for their own gratification," he said. "Their crimes are horrific. To subject anyone to sexual abuse is abhorrent but when that victim is so young it is unimaginable. They are a danger to the public and I am pleased they both now face significant time behind bars."
Meyrem Flint from the CPS said: "Mark Gable and Jessica Fry worked together to exploit children for their own gratification.
"This was planned, predatory behavior targeting young children and the pair were determined to conceal their sickening crimes.
"We would like to pay tribute to the bravery and strength shown by the children and their families and we hope that today's result brings a sense of peace."
Detective Inspector Lisa Norcott added: "I would like to thank the families of the children involved and the strength they have shown throughout this distressing investigation."
