A pedophile who raped and killed a nine-year-old girl he abducted from school has been found guilty of his charges and is set to be chemically castrated as punishment.

Aruai Berik disappeared after attending her dance class in Karatu, Kazakhstan, according to The Sun, and CCTV footage from the scene showed she was led away by a man in black pants and a black shirt.

Authorities eventually zeroed in on 37-year-old Zhakzylyk Baydildaev as the culprit, with the victim's mother Lyazzat revealing that he constantly approached her and the search party while they were looking for her to ask if they had found her yet.

But it was already too late by then. Baydildaev had already committed repeated "violent sexual acts" against the child and murdered her before putting her body in a sack and riding with it to a landfill site, where he went on to burn her.

When confronted, the 37-year-old confessed to hiding and burning Aruai's body, but claimed he had done so because she had died accidentally after coming over to his house voluntarily.

Forensic analysis of her charred remains, however, proved that the nine-year-old had been sexually assaulted and that she had died after receiving several blows to the head.

During his trial, the court heard that he had known the victim and had previously attacked another 12-year-old girl and tried to rape her, ultimately changing his mind and not going through with the crime.

Finding Baydildaev guilty of the rape and murder of Aruai, the judge handed down a sentence of life in prison and ordered him to undergo forced chemical castration under the country's tough new laws for child sex attackers.

The Sun reported that Kazakhstan had recently purchased stocks of Cyproterone — a steroidal anti-androgen developed for fighting cancer — which can be used for conducting chemical castrations as well.

"It causes the lowering of libido," explained urologist Dr. Mirzakhmet Zhanadilov. "The medication is different for each person. That is, the medication that is enough for one person to prevent repeated (sexual) offending, others can be resistant to. For them, not only do we administer the drug but control testosterone too."
