Boy scout leader made kids repeatedly gang rape 7-year-old girl guide, warned them against disclosing incident
A sick pedophile scout leader has been jailed after he encouraged the boys in his group to repeatedly gang rape a 7-year-old girl guide. The disturbing incident had taken place in the scout lodge basement in Germany and he used the 'scout code of honor' with the children asking them to promise never to disclose the incident. They were forced to say that they would never reveal what had happened, The Sun reports.
The victim was between the ages of seven and eleven in 1983 and 1987 when the incident had occurred. The pedophile was able to convince her not to say anything to anyone by telling her that she was a "good girl guide". The vicious attack came to light after the victim who is now in her 30s decided to take the story to the police. Post the incident, the pedophile went on to be convicted of several sexual assaults.
Prosecutors also questioned the boys who are now adults, who had been made to participate in the attack. The prosecutors also found her allegations to be believable. The pedophile scout leader who is now 64, has been convicted and sentenced to prison for three years.
Several charges that the prosecutors wanted to bring against the accused have now timed out. The case had taken place at the Baden-Baden District Court which heard that the accused had been responsible for many sexual charges against children at the time while he was leading the local scout organization. However, he couldn't be prosecuted for any of them as they had timed out. The High Court was able to give the go-ahead on charges of sexual abuse of children ruling that this was still applicable. The court was also made aware that in the year 2000, he had been jailed for unspecified sex offenses.
Other members of the Boy Scout organization had claimed that the pedophile was an active and enthusiastic leader who had more than doubled the size of the troop when he was leading it.
In another similar case that occurred in the UK, a former scout leader was locked up for sexual assault on two 6-year-old girls at camps which he helped to run, the StokeonTrentLive reports. The pedophile, Oliver Cooper, had attacked the youngsters when he worked as a Beaver Scout leader a few years ago. He was arrested after a child told authorities that he had touched her inappropriately.
Pictures and videos of children getting undressed in private were later found on his phone and laptop. He was sentenced to six years in prison at Lewes Crown Court. He was jailed after being found guilty of two counts of sexual assault on a girl aged six, sexual assault on another girl also aged six, one count of taking indecent photographs of a child and 13 counts of voyeurism.
Detective Constable Rees Hopcraft, from Sussex Police, shared, "The young girls involved showed tremendous bravery throughout the investigation and were supported by specially trained officers."
"Despite the overwhelming evidence, Cooper continued to protest his innocence and thus forced the victims to give evidence, which was done via a video link to the court."
