When will 'Bel-Air' Episode 4 air? Here's what to expect when it returns
"Your crown is waiting as soon as you find the courage to wear it," a hopeful Vy Smith says to Will in the pilot episode of 'Bel-Air.' The Peacock drama premiered on Super Bowl Sunday, with the first three episodes being dropped at the same time. For those familiar with 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' or even the theme song to the hit '90s show, you'll know why or rather how Will Smith ended up at Bel-Air. For the rest, he "got in one little fight" and his "mom got scared" and said, "You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air." 'The Fresh of Bel-Air' ran for six years on NBC, propelling Will Smith to stardom. Nearly three decades later, Smith would see his name associated with the project, only this time he'd be donning the hat of an executive producer for a retelling titled 'Bel-Air.'
Set in the current era, 'Bel-Air' focuses more on the challenges and obstacles that the African-American community faces and less on the humor that its iconic inspiration was known for. In its own way, the show is as relevant as 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.' A lot has changed in the darker and dramatic retelling but not much has changed systemically, with the Rodney King riots taking place when the hit NBC show aired and the Black Lives Matter movement finally getting the attention it deserves (though initiated by a tragedy) around the time 'Bel-Air' was created.

The premiere left a lot of fans on the edge of their seats as it gave us a peek into what the future holds for Will Smith and his family. In case you missed it, here's a quick rundown. Will Smith, after a few missteps, begins to settle down at the Banks' residence and at the Bel-Air Academy. Carlton Banks, who initially seemed to be running things at school and at home, eventually loses it and feels like a fish out of water. Connor, his best friend at school, adds to his anxiety by planting drugs in Will's backpack. The issue's being probed, though Will's name has been cleared. On the Banks' front, Phillip moves closer to achieving his goal of becoming a District Attorney while Hilary sets her eyes on branching out and carving a name for herself. However, the coast isn't entirely clear for Will as Rashad, the drug dealer he beat up in West Philadelphia, finds out Will's whereabouts and plans to take him down.
When will Episode 4 of 'Bel-Air' drop?
Episode 4 is set to drop at 5 am ET on February 17, 2022. Peacock is yet to reveal the synopsis of the episode but we do have a title and it is 'Canvass.'
What can we expect in Episode 4 of 'Bel-Air'?
Given that the episode's titled 'Canvass,' we can expect a major chunk of it to be about Phillip Banks' DA campaign. 'Yamacraw,' the previous episode, saw Phillip's fraternity group mentor agreeing to talk to him about supporting his campaign, so we could get more updates on that as well. Carlton could be pulled up as an accomplice when the school board reviews CCTV footage as they attempt to find the person who planted the drugs in Will's backpack. If caught, the issue would ruin Phillip's image and campaign. The chances of Rashad or his associates showing up are high, and this puts Will and those around him in grave danger.
