Paula Barbour: Woman, 55, assaults husband at airport after finding 'indecent photos' on his phone
CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA: A woman was charged with third-degree domestic violence for allegedly assaulting her husband at an airport while she was on vacation in South Carolina. The violent confrontation took place Wednesday, December 21, at Charleston International Airport after Paula Barbour, 55, found vulgar images on her husband's cell phone. The couple was in the middle of an argument when police were called to an "active domestic" incident at 2.50 pm.
"The suspect stated that she just wanted to get away from the victim and fly back home," the police report obtained by WCSC states. According to WCBD reports, the couple had arrived for a vacation in South Carolina, but Paula became angry when she saw "several indecent photos" on his cell phone. The argument began when she approached him about the indecent photos.

Although her husband denied being attacked, surveillance images reportedly showed Paula kicking him on his legs, throwing the phone to the floor and trying to smack him in the face. She later confessed to assaulting him and was arrested. She was taken to the Al Cannon Detention Center and released a day later on a $5,237 bond. It is not clear from where they boarded the plane and where they had decided to spend their time together.

The woman, who has not been named, was taken into custody after police found her spouse's mutilated body at their property. The woman has been accused of dismembering her husband's body and stewing his body parts in a pot. The neighbors told the police about a putrid odor emanating from the couple's home. Police said that she got angry after discovering her husband was having an affair with another woman. She was said to have caught her husband and his mistress in their home and confronted him. She said she was "forced" to wed her husband at the age of 15 before realizing he had "no interest in her".
According to The Sun, the woman told investigators that she was "tired of his behavior," and he routinely assaulted her and their five-year-old daughter. She said, "He was not interested in me and had relationships with other women. He used to beat me and my five-year-old daughter and betrayed me several times". She went on to add, "I was tired of this behavior and that's why I killed him. I saw my husband and his lover at home, and we had an argument after that woman left. My husband brought the knife."
Later she claimed, "I told him if he was cheating on me, he should kill me so he could get rid of me. He handed the knife to me. I held the knife to my stomach and asked, 'How would you kill me if you wanted to kill me?' 'I would stab you in the stomach,' he said. So, I took the knife and stabbed him and said, 'That's how I'll kill you.' I couldn't understand how I did it all of a sudden. He fell to the ground and remained motionless."
