Patrick Xavier Clark: Takeoff's alleged shooter asks judge to give him $5K to hire PI
HOUSTON, TEXAS: Patrick Xavier Clark, the man who is alleged to have killed rapper Takeoff, has asked a judge for money as he cannot afford to hire a private investigator but needs one to build his case. Clark is reportedly asking for an initial sum of $5,000 to hire a private investigator, according to legal docs, as he claims he is unable to bear the cost on his own.
Clark's family has already spent a hefty amount on his attorney to take his case at a reduced rate. He says it's essential to include a private investigator in his defense in order to "properly investigate [Clark's] case and to prepare effectively for trial." The alleged criminal says that he has already found a PI who will work for him at a reduced rate of $85/hour.

Clark was arrested and charged with the murder of the rapper, Houston PD announced last week. He is currently being held on a $2 million bond. The docs claim that if released, he will be put under house arrest. Besides, he will be prohibited from possessing firearms or any deadly weapons and must refrain from using narcotics or any controlled substance without a prescription. Clark is also not allowed to speak to specific people such as Takeoff's family, J Prince Jr, and boxing star Shakur Stevenson, who was standing inches away from Takeoff moments before the fatal shooting.
MEAWW previously reported that the medical examiner's office revealed the official cause of the Migos rapper's death. The 28-year-old rapper, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was shot dead on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, after an altercation at a private party at 2.34 am in Houston. Police reached a party held at 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston and found a dead man at the scene who was later identified as the rapper. Takeoff's death has been ruled as a homicide. He died of “penetrating gunshot wounds of head and torso into the arm,” according to records released to Page Six by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The deceased rapper and his uncle, Migos collaborator Quavo, were playing dice at the party when an argument broke out, which eventually led to someone pulling the trigger. A man and a woman were also injured in the horrific incident and were admitted to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
