Pashun Jeffery: Mom of slain Taylen Mosley, 2, was allegedly stabbed over HUNDRED times by toddler’s dad
ST PETERSBURG, FLORIDA: Police have released some gruesome details in connection with the murder of a 20-year-old mother, whose two-year-old son, Taylen Mosley, was found dead in an alligator’s mouth. The latest update suggests that the mother, Pashun Jeffery, was stabbed more than 100 times after she threw a birthday party for her son’s father, Thomas Mosley, for his 21st birthday on the night of March 29.
According to AL.com, following the deaths of Jeffery and two-year-old Taylen, Thomas got arrested on March 31 and has been charged with two first-degree murders. However, he pleaded not guilty to the charges against him during a hearing on April 1, reports Mirror.

What happened to Pashun Jeffery?
On March 30, 2023, Pashun was found dead on her Lincoln Shores Apartments' bathroom floor at around 2.30 pm. This happened after her family gathered in her apartment, where she had been living for a month, and Thomas, for a few weeks, on the afternoon of March 29.
The family members left around 5.15 pm, leaving the boy and his parents in the home. According to arrest records, Thomas left the apartment at 8.42 pm and traveled to the Lake Maggiore area, which is located south of downtown St Petersburg, reports AL.com. The lake is near Dell Holmes Park, where Taylen’s body was found in an alligator’s mouth, Fox 13 reported. The toddler is believed to have been thrown into the lake by his father Thomas Mosley.
Thomas, who left the apartment, arrived at his mother’s St Petersburg house, 10 blocks from the lake after 9 pm with “severe lacerations” to his hands and arms. Following this, Thomas, who police say may have mental health issues, got admitted to St Anthony’s Hospital. According to the records, the wounds were “consistent with injuries caused by slippage during a knife attack.”
When Pashun's family couldn't connect to her the next day, they went to her apartment to check on her. Upon arrival, they saw blood on the sidewalk leading to her unit. They called the building's management team to check. Later, a staff member found her body.
Who was Pashun Jeffery?
She was a native of St Petersburg. She attended Benito Middle School, Boca Ciega High School, and Northeast High, consecutively, She was an honor student at Northeast High, her family said on a GoFundMe page where Pashun is pictured in a graduation gown holding Taylen in one hand. Her mother, Lakita Denson, and aunt Theo Brickhouse wrote, "She worked at CVS on 4th and 9th Avenue North, perhaps smiling at you when you visited the store. We will miss her smile, joyous laughter, and commentary on life."
