NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: 'Parish' Episode 2 has been released on AMC, continuing to delve into the story of Gracián 'Gray' Parish (Giancarlo Esposito) and his involvement in the criminal world.
In 'Parish' Episode 2, Gray is shown to be still working for The Horse (Zackary Momoh), as he is unable to leave the criminal gang.
Gray's reliability and effectiveness in carrying out tasks may be key factors in The Horse's favorable view of him, setting the stage for further developments in their relationship.
The Horse and Gray Parish's partnership continues in 'Parish' Episode 2
In 'Parish' Episode 2, Gray agrees to become a driver for The Horse because he knows he can't leave the criminal gang so easily.
Gray understands that leaving the gang could put him and his family in danger, so he reluctantly accepts the role, hoping to navigate his way out of the criminal world gradually. However, it seems The Horse will not leave Gray so easily.
In 'Parish' Episode 1, The Horse was impressed when Gray successfully handled the first task by evading police attention and delivering the package. Gray wanted to leave the gang after the first task, but his intelligence inadvertently caused The Horse to recognize his potential.
It's possible that The Horse could see Gray as a valuable asset for his own agenda. Given Gray's skills and his desire to leave the criminal world behind, The Horse might also try to manipulate Gray into doing things that benefit him and his gang.
Gary could find himself in situations where he is unwittingly involved in criminal activities, including drug deals, smuggling operations, or other illicit transactions. As Gray becomes more entangled in The Horse's criminal activities, he may find himself grappling with difficult choices and moral dilemmas.
In the upcoming episode, his role as a driver could expose him to the harsh realities of human trafficking, forcing him to confront the consequences of his actions.
What could happen between Gray Parish and The Horse down the line?
As Episode 2 progresses further, Gary drives The Horse and his son to various locations. However, a gang of masked men begins shooting at them, prompting Gray to quickly take them to a safe place.
As seen in the last scene of 'Parish' Episode 2, Gray puts his life at risk in his attempt to save The Horse's son. If he successfully saves him, he may become The Horse's favorite. Given Gray's intelligence and his love for his own son, it seems likely that he will successfully save The Horse and his son's life in the upcoming episode.
By taking such a significant risk to save The Horse's son, Gray may inadvertently cement his position within the criminal gang. The Horse might also come to rely on him for critical tasks, making it extremely challenging for Gray to extricate himself from the criminal world.
If Gray becomes The Horse's right-hand man, both his friend Colin (Skeet Ulrich) and The Horse's brother, Zenzo (Ivan Mbakop) may become increasingly envious.
They may feel threatened by Gray's rise in power, fearing that their own positions within the gang could be at risk.
It would be intriguing to see how Gray and The Horse collaborate in the upcoming episodes.
