Heartbreak is inevitable for both the show's characters as well as its viewers because the upcoming Episode 8 is also the finale of Season 1. There is also the added downer that 'P-Valley' Season 2 won't start filming until next year and only air in late 2021. So Episode 8 is going to be the last 'fix' of 'P-Valley' we are going to have for a while.

As befits the Season finale, there is going to be a lot packed into the 'last hour'. In the trailer for the episode, we see Mercedes trying to get ten thousand dollars from Coach, her regular, for starting her dance gym and he looks decidedly hesitant. But more significantly, we also see Mercedes running, as she panics, colliding with people in her way. Anything that makes Mercedes lose her cool is significant.

Episode 7 left us hanging with Autumn shaking in fear at the Paradise room, alone with Montavius, her abusive ex who she 'almost' shot dead. A lot of drama will unfold around that on Pynk's last night. We see Montavius choking Autumn in one scene, while in another Mercedes breaks a bottle and swings it, in full-on, bada** attack mode, while Autumn yells, "Stop!" We also hear her saying that "Enough people have died over this money," as the scene shifts to a funeral.

But there are no clues about whose funeral it could be. What's more, there is also a scene where someone is banging at the door of Patrice Woodbine's "Breath of Life" church doors. Could 'P-Valley' do something major like kill off Mercedes in the altercation at the Paradise room?

The rest of the trailer hints at the other violent deeds afoot. Derrick threatens Keyshawn, saying she is going to "regret it" after she and Lil' Murda are offered some kind of deal by a music executive. Later, we also see Derrick being thrown against a wall by someone. Smart money would be on Diamond, who has been itching to thrash Derrick for abusing Keyshawn. We also see Keyshawn draw a gun — but strangely the blurred outline of the man she seems to be pointing the gun at is Diamond. Could it be that Diamond is close to killing Derrick and that is the only way she can get him to stop?

But the saddest part of the trailer is the lover's quarrel between Lil' Murda and Uncle Clifford. We see several shots of Lil' Murda standing on the stage triumphantly. We already know that Woddy, his manager, has got a big shot music producer to come and see Lil' Murda's act at the Pynk. 'Murda Night,' which headlines his act, seems to be a huge success and Lil' Murda seems set for big things.

But it seems his fame and stardom will come at a price. Woddy had already warned him that at some point he would have to make a choice between his career and his relationship with Uncle Clifford because he couldn't have both. Lil' Murda will put his ambitions before love, it seems.

The trailer shows a break-up fight between him and Uncle Clifford in which Uncle Clifford tells him accusingly, "you got exactly what you wanted, huh?" Lil' Murda looks at her with guilt-ridden eyes. There might be rioting on the streets if these two love birds break up but we'll have to watch the finale to see if it is as bad as the trailer portends.

'P-Valley' Episode 8 finale airs on September 6 at 8 PM ET on Starz.
