'P-Valley' Episode 7 'Last Call for Alcohol' not airing this week, fans upset about waiting after nail-biter

Fans who are all caught up with the show are having regrets and envying those who can binge-watch the already aired six episodes on the Starz app this week during the show's two-week hiatus

With just two episodes to go, 'P-Valley' mania is at an all-time high. But the show is taking a week's break, much like other popular Starz shows, before it is time to get on with the show.

But 'Legacy' left off with Uncle Clifford declaring war on the casino project (and the mayor) via Patrice Woodbine and her preaching. We all know what a slippery customer she is, so the Episode 6 cliffhanger is especially a nail bitter even if you don't factor in what Mercedes will have to say about Uncle Clifford's "deal with the Devil".

Adding to this tension is the fate of Autumn Night. We see her withdraw the last of her fugitive funds with the help of Mercedes and Mane's fake ids. She is ready to fly the coop as she tells Andre in her goodbye call. By Episode 6, we know already that her real name is "Hailey Colton" and she chose the name "Autumn" as her stripper name at Pynk because that was her daughter's name. What Autumn "Hailey" Night does not know is that her toxic ex, Montavious Hill, is very much alive and hunting her through those very cash transfers that she thinks is securing her future.

Though Montavious appeared in Episode 5 to plead with the police officer about searching for his wife and kid "after the flood", we never saw his face. Later, when he is tracking Autumn's money transfers, he is facing the laptop screen, his back to us. In some ways, this mystery around his appearance has made him a more sinister figure -- the dark shadow hanging over Autumn. Montavious' sweet-talking seems to have got him results because, at the end of Episode 6, we see her posters have been put up as a "missing person". Mane spots it and he is well aware of what Autumn looks like since he has been helping her and Mercedes get fake ids. It is clear Montavious doesn't want the police involved but rather is looking to dish out some personal payback.

Both these important plot points have left fans chaffing at waiting an additional week before they see Episode 7 titled 'Last Call for Alcohol', which will be airing on August 30. The only respite, so to speak, is that NewFest, New York's LGBT Film and Media Arts festival, is having an advance virtual screening on August 19 at 11:45 pm ET, followed by a live stream conversation on August 20 at 8 pm ET with showrunner Katori Hall, Nicco Annan who plays Uncle Clifford, and J. Alphonse Nicholson who plays Lil' Murda.

One fan account screenshotted the trailer released on Twitter, that gives away four key plot points. One that Keyshawn and Diamond finally have their romantic moment. Two, Autumn's goodbye to Andre wasn't the end because we see her cozying up to him again. Three, Montavious finally confronts Autumn and four, someone will be doing the dirty in a car 'Titanic' style, steamed windows and all.

But fans who are all caught up with the show are having regrets and envying those who can binge-watch the already aired six episodes on the Starz app this week during the show's hiatus. One user said: "see I dont be liking to watch shows until they like 3-4 seasons in so I can binge watch it. you h**s got me on #PValley and now I wanna watch 5 more episodes today"

Another fan mourned saying: "why p-valley end like that now I gotta wait till next week to see the next 2 episodes bye". Replying to the tweet, another user reminded her that: "A whole two weeks and then on top of that there’s only 2 episodes left this season" with crying face emojis.

But one tweet said it best in one phrase responding to the photos posted for the upcoming episode trailer: "Lawd PRESSHA!"

The next episode of 'P-Valley' is set to air on August 30 at 8 PM ET on Starz.
