'P-Valley' Episode 2: Male cast members get thirst tweets as full-frontal nudity grabs fans' attention

Many viewers were not prepared for the men stripping off in episode 2, highlighting how male nudity is still unusual for US shows and still draws comments

If episode 1 had everyone talking about the girls, episode 2 had everyone talking about the boys. Not surprising since episode 2's start and finish was bookended with scenes of male frontal nudity. Kicking off with Corbin indulging in some BDSM action in the Pynk's 'Paradise' room, the episode ended with Andre's phone "entanglement" with Autumn, who has been tasked by Uncle Clifford with finding out more about the casino project.

"This opening scene is Wilddddd baby lol!" tweeted one user with a drooling expression gif, while another replied, saying: "This was actually my face at the closing scene too!! Lmao!". Others were appreciative, with one user tweeting, "I need a shower and a cigarette after that episode. I don't even smoke cigarettes Lord JESUS". While thirst tweets like "Whew Chile!" with gifs of girls fanning themselves were common, others took the time to comment on how 'P-Valley' was treating male and female nudity at par, unlike other shows on TV.

It is interesting to note that the female nudity on the show, right from episode 1 has not drawn any comments, possibly because the show is centered around the Pynk strip club and was expected. However many viewers were not prepared for the men stripping off in episode 2. One user posted a Barney Stinson spit-take gif with the comment: "since when we start getting full-frontal, not hilarious/not played for comedy, semi-hard, male nudity on TV? I was not prepared," while another posted: "P-VALLEY!!!!!!!!! Good God They showing all the bodies EVERY INCH OF EM!"

Some viewers, however, were not turned on because of Autumn's living situation that has her sleeping on the floor on a mattress, no furniture with newspapers on the windows instead of curtains.  There is a reason why she didn't want to "FaceTime" Andre and wanted him to use his "big imagination" instead. "I’m not understanding why Autumn aka Hailey still sleeping on that funky mattress on the floor. She making good money down to the Pynk. LoL," said one user.

"Show got me scared to death. I don't want no strippers, no drunks living in a home [with] newspapers on the windows," said another user. Replying to this, a tweet labeled Autumn "bad news like the newspapers on her window." Others pegged Andre to be the "real villain" of the show for trying to fix shady land deals and blithely cheating on his wife at the first chance he got.

Other male cast members also got their share of attention, with one user tweeting, "this #PValleyStarz show got nothing but fine a** men everywhere. Whew!" While some were disappointed that the "Drake looking bouncer" Diamond, played by Tyler Lepley, didn't have a lot of screen time in episode 2, they appreciated the introduction of Mane (Thomas Q. Jones), Mercedes' hot neighbor.

Mane is being portrayed as Mercedes' love interest on the show -- someone she goes out of her way to flirt with. Similarly, Mane is also willing to get someone to "babysit" his house arrest ankle monitor so that he can come to watch Mercedes dancing her last dance at the club. Thomas Q. Jones tweeted to fans appreciating his performance that they will get to see a lot more of Mane in the upcoming episodes.

'P-Valley' aired on July 19 on Starz at 8 PM ET.
