You can always count on 'Our Cartoon President' to give you some cheer in these trying and difficult times. In the previous episode, we saw the presidential debate where Cartoon Trump and Cartoon Biden yelled over each other for several hours. A bored Chris Wallace tried to moderate between the two of them. Trump insists that he has made the country unrecognizable, and Biden calls it 'dog sh*t'. Asked if he was condemning white supremacy, Trump waffles incoherently.

Biden's meme-worthy 'shut up man' was incorporated into the debate as well  Meanwhile, Kamala Harris had a hard time trying to forgive Biden for his troublesome past, and has a conversation with Hilary Clinton. Clinton tells her that elections are always damaging for women in power, and so not to worry. Kamala Harris reminds her of the 2016 election and Clinton doesn't really have an answer to that. Nevertheless, the episode was all about women supporting women, because we needed that reassurance.

The next episode promises just the same level of snark. The synopsis reads, "After Cartoon Joe Biden delivers a string of problematic speeches, Cartoon Chuck Schumer and Cartoon Nancy Pelosi trap him on an Amtrak train to nowhere, Cartoon Donald Trump Jr. tries to impress his father by digging up dirt on Cartoon Hunter Biden."

With regard to Cartoon Trump's sons, remember the last we saw of Eric Trump? He was trying to create a cure for coronavirus, causing several deaths. Cartoon Trump continues to ignore the seriousness of the disease that is ravaging his country and waffles his way through the interview. He till maintains that the Covid-19 is not a threat. He says, "Are we still talking about the coronavirus?" And proceeds to make fun of masks. The show does an expert job of getting his accent and idiosyncrasies right, including poking fun at the real Trump's method of diverting from real issues and going off on a tangent.

Will the show document how the real Trump got tested positive for Covid-19, and had to be hospitalized? Now, that would be a fun episode to watch. Catch 'Our Cartoon President' on Showtime, at 8 pm on Sundays.
