Bibliophiles rejoice, Oprah Winfrey is back with a new show revolving around her famous book club. For years, the iconic talk show host has introduced us to some literary gems through her book club's recommendations and author interviews. Soon you can view it on Apple TV+.

Release date

'Oprah’s Book Club' is set to premiere on the day of Apple TV+'s launch, November 1. A new episode will be available every two months.

Plot

Oprah will be picking a book every month to read as the book of the month. She will then interview the author to discuss the book and share some interesting observations and insights about the literary work.

Oprah has already picked the book for the first month — 'The Water Dancer' by Ta-Nehisi Coates. The talk show host's interview with Coates will be airing on November 1.

'The Water Dancer' explores slavery in America. In an interview with CBS, Oprah talked about the book saying, "It is one of the best books I have ever read in my entire life. Right up there in the Top 5."

Oprah Winfrey will be hosting the show. In each episode, Oprah will sit down with the author of her latest choice to discuss their work. Oprah, often dubbed as "Queen of All Media", became a household name after the success of her daytime talk show 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'.

Oprah is one of the most influential persons on the planet and is known for her generosity and kindness. In 2008, she started her own network called 'Oprah Winfrey Network' (OWN).

"Few people in the world can bring us together like Oprah, whose compassion and grace celebrating the power of books are unmatched," said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO.

"It's our honor to provide a new platform for Oprah's Book Club and support the American Library Association in opening hearts and minds to the joy of reading."
