Oprah Winfrey trolled for going maskless in Christmas videos but making staff don them

Oprah Winfrey has been trolled mercilessly on the internet after she shared a few posts on her Instagram page showing preparations for the holiday season. One of her social media posts shows her standing on the stairs of her California mansion. As the maskless talk show host talked, the background showed masked people decorating the railing of her stairway with pine cones.

There was another video in which Winfrey, without any covering on her face, was seen relishing over monkey bread. Though the person who baked the cake was maskless, other servants were seen wearing masks. The 67-year-old even posted a video of her welcoming her guests that included the grandson of her best friend Gayle King. But in the caption, she clearly mentioned “The Policy” people have to follow to visit her.

The caption read, “Everyone who is spending Christmas at my house has to be vaccinated, boosted, tested, and quarantined.” She then referred to her longtime partner Stedman Graham and wrote: “Stedman calls it ‘The Policy’ cause I'm that serious about it. This was release day for our bubble and we knew we had to throw a welcome celebration for Baby Luca, who none of us had met yet! We missed his grandma @gayleking but she'll join us once she completes the policy!”

But people expressed their anger over Winfrey’s double standards. A user asked, “Of all the COVID theatre, the part that leaves me speechless are the elite maskless next to masked servants. How can they do this without criticism?” Another user said, “Billionaire Oprah Maskless, While The Help Is Masked Elites need not mask.” The third user stated, “Everyone should know by now that the ELITE are not required or expected to wear masks.”

A critic wrote, “Shame on you, @Oprah.” The second one tweeted, “Isn't it slave owner mentality to act like you are better than those who ‘work for you?’” A tweet read: “The hypocrisy of the elite is mind-blowing. This is a prime example of someone thinking they're better. The workers are masked as if diseased while she remains unmasked.” Another tweet added: “Masks for only the germ-ridden help and servants.. not for you @Oprah I really hate these rich elites...rules for thee but not for me.”

A tweet claimed, “She @Oprah made millions thanks to #capitalism. Now like her leftist pals want us to embrace #Socialism thus ensuring we don't have the same opportunities. EVIL.” A user questioned, “The new slavery. Why does anyone tolerate such obvious elitism and hypocrisy? #COVID19 #COVID.” This two-tiered system is a trademark of all evil, totalitarian corrupt systems. Masks are for the little people,” a person suggested.

However, there were a few who complimented Winfrey and her Christmas decorations. Commenting below one of her Instagram posts, a fan wrote, “Inspiring me to look at my own decor!! Also! I am down the street from you neighbor!” Another one noted, “My Mom made monkey bread for Christmas morning all during my childhood and even into our 20s when we were all home for Christmas.
