A devastated mother has spoken out after her one-year-old boy who was left in a hot car succumbed to the scorching temperatures.
The child named Jone, who was 22-months-old at the time of his death, was found unresponsive after police and paramedics rushed to the scene at Chester Hill in west Sydney Sunday, Daily Mail reports.
By the time emergency crews arrived, Jone was already taken out of the locked car and into the family home. He couldn't be revived after the horrifying ordeal, wherein temperatures inside the vehicle reached nearly 35C (96.8F), and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Samantha Rowlands, little Jone's heartbroken mother, shared a photo of her beloved son Sunday night with a caption reading "My baby."
