LONDON, ENGLAND: ‘One Day’ series has officially dropped on Netflix. ‘One Day’ explores deep human emotions and Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew's story. 

If you haven’t watched the series yet, you are missing out on a lot. ‘One Day’ is based on the 2009 novel of the same name by David Nicholls as well as the film adaptation. It is a beautiful love story of two people.

In the first episode, viewers are introduced to Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew, played by Ambika Mod and Leo Woodfall, respectively.

Dexter and Emma's journey begins on the night of their graduation from Edinburgh University. Amidst the celebration, they find themselves dancing and reveling in the moment.

Following a chance encounter, Dexter strikes up a conversation with Emma, leading to an invitation to her apartment, shared with her best friend Tilly. As the night unfolds, the two forge a deep connection through their conversation, laying the foundation for a beautiful friendship.

Notably, Emma decides not to pursue a physical relationship with Dexter, and they share a quiet moment falling asleep beside each other in Emma's bed.

The following morning, they spend most of the day together on a hike, deepening their bond.

Despite their growing comfort, it becomes apparent that they differ significantly in their future plans, setting the stage for potential challenges in their evolving relationship.

Will Emma continue her friendship with Dexter?

As the story progresses, it becomes clear the two are opposites regarding values and visions for the future.

Dexter invites Emma for a drink and she agrees to his plan. However, Emma heads back home after they run into Dexter’s parents, Stephen and Alison.

Dexter follows her, and the two exchange phone numbers. Dexter asks Emma to spend more time together.

Will she continue her friendship with Dexter? Well, only time can tell how Emma is going to navigate these feelings!
