Last week, Lord Ashcroft, the organization's founder, and chair announced the biggest single reward offer ever made by Crimestoppers. He stated, "This case has been incredibly shocking, not just for those who are directly affected but also for Liverpool and the nation as a whole. I am delighted that with the support of a private donor, Crimestoppers can now offer a record £200,000 for information to catch Olivia’s killer. A precious young life has been lost so we need every effort to find those involved in this appalling killing."
Additionally, police have revealed that a .38 revolver was used to kill Olivia. The incident began with the discharge of a different weapon, a 9mm self-loading Glock-style pistol.
Mourners at the funeral for Olivia Pratt Korbel wore a ‘splash of pink’ to remember the 9-year-old girl who was shot dead at her house during gang violence. The little schoolgirl was laid to rest at a funeral that was held at St Margaret Mary's Catholic Church in Knotty Ash, Liverpool this month, September. People gathered around the street as the white coffin of the little girl, decorated with butterflies and teddy bear-shaped floral tributes, arrived at the church in a white horse-drawn carriage.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson stated, "The investigation into Olivia's murder is ongoing, and we continue to appeal for people with information to come forward to help us catch the people responsible."
"Anyone with information is asked to DM @MerPolCC or contact @CrimestoppersUK on 0800 555 111. If you have any CCTV/dashcam/smart doorbell footage that could help our inquiries they can be downloaded on the dedicated public portal for Olivia's murder, which will go straight through to the investigation team," he concluded.
