Olivia Naserian told just before her arrest that she blames herself for having problems with her daughter. "I hate myself. I suffer from low self-esteem and that is why I killed my child. I have gone through a lot with my daughter," as per The Star. Glory Njeri's mother, Naserian, a fourth-year Commerce student at a local institution, is accused of killing the infant after she split with the minor's father. Neighbors in Kitengala's Milimani Estate reportedly watched in horror as the mother started eating the girl's internal organs. Locals in the area heard Njeri's frantic screams and immediately called authorities after hearing them, according to The Star.
At first, they believed the pair had been attacked by criminals. They said that after they had hurried to the family home to investigate what was going on, they had seen the mother viciously striking her daughter while reciting nursery rhymes. According to reports, the neighbors attempted to break down the door in an effort to save the small girl, but by the time they were able to get inside, Njeri had already died and Naserian was lying on the ground unconscious. Police arrested the mother on suspicion of murder when they arrived at the horrific scene. "The woman ate her baby's liver as we watched. She also removed other internal organs search as intestines and heart from the body before becoming unconscious," the furious neighbor claimed.
