Olivia Dunne on starting her own brand
In an interview with Steve Bertoni, Dunne was questioned about defining how her brand would be. In response, she said that it reflects a little bit of everything, including her work, her family, her friends, her living style, and fashion.
Bertonis then asked her how she makes money these days, to which she said, "I am making money through brand deals mostly, hopefully one day I’ll have my own product, my own thing that is my goal in future."
Dunne added on the podcast. "I am not exactly sure what that is yet, but I do feel I have an entrepreneurial background so I want to put that to good use."
When Bertoni asked her to share some thoughts regarding her business, she responded as follows, ‘’It can be anything, revolving around the libby brand, like may be some sort of merch, may be some sort of gymnastics product, it could be anything, fashion fitness or an app.’’
When did Livvy rise to fame?
When the NCAA announced in July 2021 that student-athletes would be permitted to make money through commercial agreements, Dunne's career took off.
The All American gymnast already had a substantial social media following due to her years of experience in the sport. Dunne began training when she was three years old.
At 11, she joined the USA International Elite programme as the youngest gymnast, and in 2017, she won gold with the USA Junior National Team. Olivia Dunne, at the age of 16, had over 100,000 Instagram followers in 2020.
The number of views on her TikTok also skyrocketed. People began to enjoy the content she posted. She often shares her training videos on social media.
