Russian beauty queen ‘expecting baby’ with King of Malaysia who suddenly abdicated after marrying her: Report
A former Miss Moscow who tied the knot with the now-abdicated King of Malaysia, Sultan Muhammad V, is expecting the couple's first child together, the media in Moscow reported.
According to Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, 25-year-old Oksana Voevodina fell pregnant after the new couple went to a German family planning clinic. The couple reportedly married in November last year.
The report of the pregnancy comes just two days after the 49-year-old Malaysia royal shockingly announced his abdication after only two years on the throne. The Daily Mail reports that no official reason was given for why Muhammad V cut his five-year term short, a first in the country's history.
Syed Danial Syed Ahmad, the Keeper of the Ruler's Seal, announced on January 7 that the Council of Rulers held a meeting and selected January 24 as the date to elect a new king.
