An Oklahoma man, Joshua David Kabatra, was arrested after he had allegedly raped a 4-year-old girl in a McDonald's restroom on Tuesday.

The young child was on a daycare field trip when the man sexually abused her in the restroom.

The 37-year-old was arrested on two counts of rape and one count of lewd acts with a child post the incident which took place at a McDonald's in Midwest City, Oklahoma, Fox reported.

The Midwest City Police shared that they had responded to a restaurant near SE 15th and Air Depot to investigate a call about a disturbance.

When the officers arrived on the scene, they were told that the child had left her caretakers gone to the restroom in the play area. After noticing that the girl was absent "for a while", the caretakers went in to check on her.

When one the caretakers went to check on the child, they found the door to the restroom locked and started to knock frantically.

Eventually, Kabatra opened the door with his arms raised and said that he was "just washing my hands," the caretaker told the authorities.

The child told the caretakers and the police that Kabatra had touched her genital area with his hands as well as his own genitals.

Kabatra told with the authorities that he had fallen ill and gone to the restroom where he found the child sitting on the toilet.

He claimed that he was sick in the sink, washed his hands, and then left.

McDonald's released a statement which read, "At McDonald’s, nothing is more important to us than the safety and well-being of our customers. We are deeply disturbed by the incident that occurred at one of our Oklahoma restaurants earlier this week. We are fully cooperating with the police during their investigation."
