Even though it looked like Miami Heat would walk away with the win. Oklahoma City Thunder decided to have their say as the notched up a close116-115 game on Wednesday. The win will now see them lock horns with the Houston Rockets after Mike Muscala's game-winner for Thunder in the final seconds of the game. If it was Chris Paul who garnered chatter on social media for his pyrotechnics during the game, the focus eventually moved to him going up against a solid James Harden when the two teams meet.

The initial reaction, needless to say, was about how epic the showdown would be in a packed stadium. However, with coronavirus playing spoilsport, fans had to contend watching it and being thankful for some sporting action. "Imagine this series without Covid...man what coul have been," a tweet read.

"Okc can upset Houston. Laugh at this tweet now it a age well," another opined.

"Imagine OKC vs Houston with the crowds it wouldโ€™ve been crazy to see Russ play his former team in the playoffs with the OKC crowd," read one of the comments.

"We're really getting Rockets vs. Thunder in the first round. Russell Westbrook versus his old franchise. Chris Paul versus James Harden. THIS IS GOING TO BE SO GOOD," reckoned one of the fans.

The excitement just couldn't be contained: "We really about to get a James Harden vs Chris Paul matchup in the playoffs, wow"

Then came the support for the players. "Let's compare him to Chris Paul, another player who can't win anything... Chris Paul is 50-52 postseason (in the west.) Let's be nice to Chris, and say he's 50-50. Damian Lillard is 19-32. James Harden, who would rather be at a strip club, is 61-55. 19-32 - say that out loud," a fan tweeted.

Naturally, Harden fans wouldn't shy away from a challenge. "James Harden is the best player in the NBA right now and itโ€™s not even close."

To end with, here's a bit of trivia: "This will be the first time since 2012 that the Jazz will have a first-round opponent that doesnโ€™t include one of Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, or James Harden."
