A nine-year-old boy from Oklahoma is hoping to find a loving home as he made an emotional plea from his group home under the care of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. Speaking to KFOR's Lacey Lett this week, the youngster, identified only as Jordan, said for his three wishes, all he wants is "to have a family, and family, family."

Jordan was quick to impress journalists as he strapped on some rollerblades and showed off some remarkable skills.

"After our skating adventure, Jordan took a relaxing ride on the pedal boats with his adoption worker," KFOR's Lacey Lett wrote. "Afterwards – Jordan was thrilled to meet some of his heroes. Officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department."

“What does that do?” Jordan asked a police officer, pointing to his gear. According to the station, Jordan has been inspired by police officers for the longest time. “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Lett asked him. “A police,” Jordan responded.

“Why do you want to be a police officer?” she continued. “Because they’re fun and they protect people,” he said.

Three years ago, the station had featured Jordan and his brother Braison at Frontier City. At the time, the siblings were reportedly living in separate group homes. “Oh, we like to do anything together, like bake and karate,” Jordan said back then. But Braison has since been adopted and Jordan says he barely gets to see of his little brother.

However, the doting nine-year-old is hoping to find his own loving family in the near future. “If you could go anywhere in the whole wide world where would it be?” Lett asked. “To an adoption party for a home,” Jordan replied.

When asked if he were granted three wishes, he said they were "to have a family, and family, family. Those are the only wishes I have." When asked what kind of family he wishes to become a part of, he responded saying he doesn't "really care".

"Anyone that would take me. I don't really care," he said, adding, "As long as it’s a family that will show love for me and be there for me." For Jordan, who lives in a group home, a loving family would be a dream come true. According to Lett, he craves "a sense of normalcy and the unconditional love of a parent."

“I would just like to have a family to call mom and dad or just mom or just dad. I don’t really care,” Jordan added.

While the nine-year-old would love the company of a family to ride bikes together or eat mac and cheese together, he said "the reason it’s important is because so I could have some people to talk to any time I need to."

“I hope one of y’all pick me," Jordan said.

According to the Oklahoma Heart Gallery, the state has at least 500 children waiting to be adopted on any given day. As of today, there are 7,791 children in the Oklahoma DHS's custody. Meanwhile, there are more than 400,000 children in foster care across the nation and over 100,000 of those are waiting to be adopted, per the most recent federal data.

If you are considering adopting a child, you must go ahead and get the process started -- considering it can take a couple of months to get approved. For more information on the procedures, you are urged to contact the DHS hotline at 1-800-376-9729 or visit their website.
