WALTERBORO, SOUTH CAROLINA: Alex Murdaugh's six-week trial dominated news stories across various media platforms, and the heinous double murder has been the topic of several podcasts and two documentary series on Netflix and HBO Max. People all over the globe were captivated by the widespread publicity. OJ Simpson also took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the murder trial.

A South Carolina jury on Thursday, February 2, found the disgraced lawyer guilty of the deaths of his wife and son, Maggie and Paul, who were brutally killed on June 2021. What did OJ Simpson say in his video?

Orenthal James Simpson, also known by the moniker "Juice," released a three-minute video in which he detailed the court procedures and referred to Alex as an "admitted liar." "It's me, yours truly," the football star said at the start of the video. He said, "A whole lot of people are asking me what I think about this Alex Murdaugh trial. I don't know why they think I'm an expert."

'Wouldn't surprise me in the least if this guy beats this case'

Simpson claims to have been following the lawsuit that has attracted widespread attention. He said he thought Alex's sworn testimony was "a mistake," but refrained from stating he felt the 52-year-old man was the murderer. Although Simpson feels the disgraced lawyer 'likely did it'. "Lying and stealing money is a little different from murder," Simpson stated. He further added, “From what I’ve seen, do I think it’s more likely that he did it? Yes. But ‘more likely’ equals reasonable doubt." The star said that he believes Alex will be acquitted. "It wouldn't surprise me in the least if this guy beats this case," he added. "He's gonna go to jail for all the thievery he did. Stealing millions of dollars from people. I'm just saying ... Take care."

'Juicy take'

The Internet quickly reacted to Simpson's video. A user tweeted, "They want to know, as a man who got away with murder, do you think the same thing will happen with Alex Murdaugh.... And by the way, you belong in prison. Karma is a b****h & it will catch up to you. RIP Nicole." Another wrote, "He gotta be trolling." Another user noted, "The fact that ppl ask oj his thoughts on murder trials .. makes me chuckle." One person claimed, "I cannot believe this is real life omg OJ talking about Alex Murdaugh." "The Irony...I mean Comradery," said another. One person noted, "You're indeed an expert!" One user trolled, "Just two guys looking for the real killers," while adding a collage photo of Simpson and Alex.
