Ohio mother asked to breastfeed her twins in separate room of nursery to avoid offending other parents' religious beliefs
38-year-old mother-of-four Jennifer Mancuso refused to back down in a standoff with the nursery and eventually won an apology.
An Ohio mother-of-four who was asked not to breastfeed her twins in public at their nursery and told to do it in a separate room refused to back off and has been rewarded for her perseverance, with the director and manager of the center later apologizing for treating her poorly.
According to the Daily Mail, 38-year-old Jennifer Mancuso is the mother to four daughters — 4-year-old Parker, 3-year-old Piper, and 18-month-old twins Aria and Asher — as well as three step-children, Adriana, 13, Vegah, 9, and Copeland, 7. She had breastfed both her elder daughters until they had naturally weaned off and wanted to do the same for Aria and Asher but found there was still stigma attached to tandem breastfeeding.
