Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez could give Donald Trump a close fight in 2020 presidential election, says poll
The youngest woman ever elected to Congress in the United States history, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, would give President Donald Trump a close fight if she ran for the presidential elections in 2020.
Ocasio-Cortez, who is 29-years-old, however, is too young to run for the White House until the 2028 elections.
The latest poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports found that if Cortez contested against Trump in the coming elections, at least 43 percent would pick the Republican while 40 percent of the voters would vote for the Democrat. The poll also stated that at least 17 percent of the respondents were undecided on their choice.
It unlikely they would run against each other, that that hasn't stopped the two from trading jibes at each other, with the president on Monday saying that he was not paying any attention to the New York Congresswoman.
