An AL West clash is on the cards on Monday, September 14, as table-toppers, the Oakland Athletics take on the third-placed Seattle Mariners. The A's are coming off a 2-2 series against the Texas Rangers while the Mariners clinched the series 2-1 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The game is a doubleheader and both teams will be looking at pocketing the series at the T-Mobile Park. Here's everything you need to know about the game.

The game is slated to start 5.10 pm ET on Monday, September 14, 2020.

Both teams will square off at the T-Mobile Park, Seattle, WA.

Pre-game buzz

Jesus Luzardo is the man to watch for as the A's will start with the man who comes with a 3.97 ERA, 45 strikeouts and 1.235 WHIP. This will be the first time he will start off against the Mariners. Marco Gonzales will be the starting pitcher for Seattle. This will be the ninth start for the pitcher as he enters this contest 5-2 with a 3.02 ERA, a 0.868 WHIP, four walks, and 46 strikeouts over 50.2 innings.

The A's are the favorites here, but the Mariners have made steady strides throughout the season and will be the ones itching to take the first win. We'll be backing the Mariners to win this tussle.
