Carlo Secondino: NYC dad stabbed to death by trans daughter Nikki, 22, who faked it as home invasion
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK: A 61-year-old man was stabbed to death in his Brooklyn apartment on Thursday, December 29. Police initially assumed it was a home invasion, but sources say his own daughter may have been responsible for the crime. According to sources, Carlo Secondino's 22-year-old trans daughter fabricated the incident of a break-in at the family's Bensonhurst apartment to cover her crime.
As reported by the New York Post, police officials initially said that before killing the father and injuring his two children, two robbers allegedly entered the family's home on 17th Avenue near 82nd Street at about 6.am and demanded money from a safe but cops reported that the house had no safe.

Neighbor details gruesome crime scene
After the murder, a neighbor of the Secondinos claimed to have heard Nikki on the phone in the hallway saying the family had been robbed by intruders who also stabbed her. Around 6 a.m., Carlo Secondino's daughter, 22, frantically knocked on Susie Lew's door at the apartment complex in Bensonhurst. Shortly thereafter, Lew witnessed the gruesome aftermath of her father's murder. "He was lying on the kitchen floor, blood all over his chest, completely all saturated and red. He was just laying there not moving," Lew, 61, stated of the site.
'Susie, call the cops!'
The neighbor reported that Nikki had been pleading for help after Lew had overheard what appeared to be an altercation from down the hall. "I was woken up. It sounded like body wrestling going on inside the house, like two people fighting," Lew recounted. "Her bloody fingerprints are all over my door from when she was banging on the door, hoping I would open it. And then when she stopped the banging and I didn’t hear any more movement in the hallway, I slowly opened my door and heard the father yell my name out, 'Susie, call the cops!'" Later, Lew observed Nikki making a phone conversation in the corridor, in which she said the group had been robbed by intruders who had stabbed the entire family, including her, New York Post reported.
Trans daughter Nikki charged with murder
While the father died at the site, the Nikki's sister, Liana,19, was taken to Maimonides Hospital in severe condition, according to the police. With injuries to her hands, Nikki was transferred to NYU Langone Hospital; however, she was later taken to the NYPD's 62nd Precinct and charged with murder, attempted murder, and weapons possession, according to police, as reported by New York Post.
Domestic violence allegations
The family home has been the scene of domestic violence on several occasions. On July 15 and September 19 of this year, police were called to numerous incidents in which the father allegedly beat the younger daughter. According to law enforcement officials, the younger woman was charged with assault and criminal mischief in the third incident on July 14 after she pulled down the blinds in the home following an argument with her older sibling, according to the New York Post.
Supportive dad
The father encouraged the transsexual lifestyle of the older daughter, according to his employer. Yadira Gomez, who co-owns Mike's Diner, where Secondino worked as a deliveryman, said that despite this, he appeared preoccupied with "family issues" that he was hesitant to share. "I know that there was always fights. He was always working here all day, but during the day he would always say she’s crazy, she’s got some issues, problems, she doesn’t want to work,” Gomez said to New York Post on Thursday. "She was fighting him yesterday and he told the other girl, ‘Go to your friend’s house. Don’t stay here,’ because he was worried." "These girls were abandoned by their mom when they were little, so he was the only one there as a mother figure and father figure," Gomez stated. "Everybody loved that guy here. It’s a big loss for everybody. He would work. He never said no to nothing, helped everybody."
Neighbors spoke with detectives: 'They kept to themselves'
All day, neighbors observed detectives and officials from the chief medical examiner's office entering and leaving the house while interacting with neighbors. "My roommate was leaving for work at 7 am, and he just, when he left, he just called me saying that pretty much the whole street was closed and that pretty much something happened, someone was killed," neighbor Jhonny Xue stated to CBS. Joe Pagano, a neighbor, claims to have known the family. "Two daughters and a father, that's all I know, really. They kept to themselves, you know. I don't know much about them," he stated. "I've been here 12 years, and they've been here just as long."
