Part of the slate of eight horror films arriving on Amazon Prime Video under ‘Welcome to Blumhouse’, a joint venture between Blumhouse Television and Amazon Studios, ‘Nocturne’ feels like the most ambitious one so far. Written and directed by Zu Quirke in her breakout feature debut, and executive produced by Jason Blum, Lisa Bruce, Marci Wiseman, Jeremy Gold, Matthew Myers, and Fodhla Cronin O’Reilly, the film combines music and horror.

Inside the halls of an elite arts academy, a timid music student begins to outshine her more accomplished and outgoing twin sister when she discovers a mysterious notebook belonging to a recently deceased classmate. The film examines sibling rivalry gone bad as Juliet’s desire to one-up her sister Vivian takes a violent form that might ultimately end up consuming them both.

The film’s trailer looks fabulous, not just with its aesthetics but with the imagery it tries to portray. It promises to be one of those horror films that just might find a cult following, reminding heavily of ‘Suspiria’ or ‘The Perfection’ or ‘Black Swan’. So, let’s take a look at the actors who will bring this story to life.
