One suspect undergoing surgery
Davis, the other suspect, was wounded following a shootout with federal agents. He is said to be undergoing surgery, said sheriff. Both of the suspects belong to the Nortenos gang, according to Sheriff Mike. The two members of the Parraz family, who were killed, belonged to the rival Surenos gang, according to reports.
Police said that the six people who were killed by Noah and Angel included a young mother and her 10-month-old boy. Alissa Parraz, 17, was found dead in a ditch as she was cradling her baby Nycholas near the home where four of her family members were also killed. The incident took place on Monday, January 16, in Goshen, a small farming town roughly 220 miles southeast of San Francisco, as per Daily Mail.
'Cold-blooded murderers'
The suspects and members of the victims’ family have a long history of gang violence, but the motive for the shooting "is not exactly clear," Boudreaux said at a news conference at the sheriff’s headquarters in Visalia as per FOX 11. "This was not a random act of violence. This family was targeted by cold-blooded murderers," the sheriff said.
The victims were identified as Rosa Parraz, 72; Eladio Parraz, Jr., 52; Jennifer Analla, 49; Marcos Parraz, 19; Alissa Parraz, 16; and Nycholas Parraz, 10 months.
'Cartel-style' execution
The arrests steemed from an "Operation Nightmare" in which multiple search warrants were served and inmate cells associated with a prison gang were searched in multiple state prisons, the AP reported. Sheriff Boudreaux said the young mother was fleeing for her life with her infant son in her arms when they were murdered in "cartel-style" execution down the street from the house.
3 more survivors by hiding, one of whom called 911
The sheriff said Alissa Parraz had just been awarded full custody of her son after he spent months in the foster care system. The two were reunited on Friday, January 13, three days before they were killed. Apart from the six victims, three others had survived the attack by hiding. One of them had dialled 911, said police.
