9-month-old baby left unattended at shopping mall tumbles down escalator, saved by passerby
A nine-month-old baby who fell from the top of an upward moving escalator at a mall in China was heroically rescued by a soldier before it could fall down even further.
An unattended baby who was toddling around a mall in a walker and plummeted down an escalator in China was saved by a vigilant passerby. The incident, which took place in Wuxi, eastern China, happened on Friday and footage of the incident soon went viral on Chinese social media.
According to the footage, the nine-month-old infant, whose gender is not yet known and who was left unattended in the lobby of a restaurant, made its way to the escalator, which was coming up, and fell from the top.
Fortunately for the baby, about halfway down the escalator, a soldier caught the baby and saved it from tumbling all the way down, Daily Mail reports.
