Nicole Kidman and Kylie Minogue photographed together for the first time EVER putting an end to bizarre conspiracy theory
The fact that they were never photographed together before seems especially bizarre when you realize that they were both involved in 2001's 'Moulin Rouge!', a movie which won Kidman both an Empire Award for Best Actress and a Golden Globe.
It sounds ridiculous at first but it seems a lot of people believe that Kylie Minogue and Nicole Kidman, two of Australia's biggest stars, are actually the same person. The odd conspiracy theory is based on the fact that despite them both being in the spotlight for over three decades, Minogue and Kidman have never been photographed together ... until now.
The conspiracy theory was finally debunked on September 3, when the pair met at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London and were photographed together for the first time ever. It is especially surprising that this hasn't happened before considering the similarities between Minogue's and Kidman's career paths and the fact that they are both huge figures in the industry. The Daily Mail reports that the pair posed for multiple photographs, finally satisfying the curiosity of millions of fans. The duo's snaps together have created quite a buzz on social media and Twitterati are busy making jokes about the death of the urban myth about the two.
A very excited user who goes by @nicxlekidman shared the images with the caption: "THIS IS THE FIRST TIME EVER THAT NICOLE KIDMAN AND KYLIE MINOGUE TAKE A PICTURE TOGETHER
THIS IS WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF"
Another user, going by @nowismytime1 shared the pictures on Twitter with the caption: "Well.....Kylie Minogue and Nicole Kidman fixed that ⬇️ (after 30 years)". The same user also joked about how important the two celebrities are to their home country with a tweet saying: "The Australian government is changing its $100 currency to its Reigning Queen’s Kylie Minogue & Nicole Kidman in 2020!"
Kidman, who is widely known as one of the biggest Australian actors working in Hollywood, was actually born in Honolulu, Hawaii, while her Australian parents were there on educational visas. She got her big break at age 16, landing a role in the popular Australian holiday film 'Bush Christmas'. Both Kidman and Minogue made their way up the ranks domestically in their respective fields before going on to sing and act their way to international super-stardom. The fact that they were never photographed together before Tuesday seems especially bizarre when you realize that they were both involved in 2001's 'Moulin Rouge!', a movie which won Kidman both an Empire Award for Best Actress and a Golden Globe.
Oddly enough the rumor began way back in 2008 when a Twitter user wrote, "Nicole Kidman and Kylie Minogue, never the two shall meet." The theory again resurfaced in 2018 when a curious fan was forced to ask, "Why are there no pictures of Kylie Minogue and Nicole Kidman together HMMMM." And needless to say, with the recent developments he is one happy man for having made it happen.
