An 18-year-old high school football rising star from South Carolina, who was set to play at college level, tragically passed away while in surgery from complications. According to reports, complications arose during the operation to repair his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) and meniscus, and costed Nick Dixon his life. Dixon who passed away Friday afternoon was a talented athlete and a senior at the Spartanburg High School. The Spartanburg school Facebook page confirmed his demise.
