'Covington kid' Nick Sandmann wants Elon Musk to expose 'hidden' Twitter files on death threats against him
PARK HILLS, KENTUCKY: A former Kentucky high school student who was spotted in a 2019 viral video wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat in an apparent confrontation with a Native American elder outside the Lincoln Memorial wants Twitter boss Elon Musk to make the files pertaining to the death threats made against him public. Nicholas "Nick" Sandmann, now 20, on Sunday, December 4, asked whether there were any "hidden Twitter files" about the threats he received after the incident.
"As I'm watching this all play out, I'm wondering if @elonmusk has any hidden twitter files relating to what went on here," Sandmann tweeted. "Let's be clear: under the watch of @vijaya they allowed these illegal threats when I was 16 years old." In his tweet, Sandmann posted screenshots of verified Twitter accounts urging followers to burn down his Covington Catholic High School and toss "MAGA kids" into a wood chipper.

The tweet was posted after Elon Musk released the "Twitter files", which is a compilation of communications between Twitter staff members about the platform's repression of the infamous New York Post article about Hunter Biden's laptop that was published in October 2020, as per Daily Mail. The documents, which Musk has called the "Twitter files," depict Twitter staffers arguing back and forth on how the Hunter Biden story should have been blocked in accordance with the site's policies on hacked content. It seems that several of the platform's top managers were uncertain as to whether Hunter Biden's laptop had been accessed by dishonest means. Sandmann joined the fray as the story gained popularity over the course of the weekend.

They refused to even watch the entire video before calling for violence against him.
If anybody knows what being a target of systemic racism is, Nick Sandmann does.
Sandmann claimed that he started receiving death threats after media sources depicted the altercation at the March For Life in 2019 between Sandmann and Native American activist Nathan Phillips as a bunch of White youths abusing an older Native American. He received a barrage of death threats after the incident, which incited outrage online. He tweeted on Sunday with copies of the threats' posts and a question for Musk about any possible hidden Twitter files. Musk had previously stated that there would be additional Twitter file releases. Musk stated on Friday, "You know Twitter is being fair when extremists on far right and far left are simultaneously upset. Twitter aims to serve center 80% of people, who wish to learn, laugh & engage in reasoned debate." After the 2019 incident, Sandmann filed lawsuits alleging that the MAGA-hat-wearing kid was portrayed as a racist after being spotted confronting the Native American man on January 18, 2019.
The Covington Catholic High School student joined hundreds of other students and pro-life activists at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, for the March for Life event. It was the 47th iteration of the march, which was held in opposition to the 1973 Roe v Wade decision by the Supreme Court, which made abortion legal throughout America. Nathan Phillips, a Native American elder and counterprotester at the Indigenous Peoples March, approached Sandmann as he was wearing the red pro-Trump cap. Phillips was seen beating a ceremonial drum and chanting his face while the white teen was captured smiling. As soon as the video surfaced, it shot to the top of media stories alleging racial overtones in the event. He demanded NBCUniversal pay an astounding $275 million while adamantly claiming the altercation was unrelated to race.
