'My heart is broken': Veteran NFL player Jermon Bushrod grieves the loss of his week-old infant daughter
The lineman for the New Orleans Saints, Jermon Bushrod, wrote a devastating message on his social media account this weekend where he announced the tragic death of his week-old baby daughter.
The 12-year veteran of the NFL posted two images of his infant, Jordyn Lynn Bushrod, on his Twitter account on October 20 that showed her small hand wrapped around a finger and the second of her tiny head resting on her father's chest.
34-year-old Bushrod from King George, Virginia, wrote in the caption: "My heart has been broken. My baby girl Jordyn Lynn Bushrod passed away Thursday, October 18th. She was only here for a week but we were ready to love her unconditionally. We will get through this with faith, family and friends. Thanks for prayers and support."
