NFL Draft 2020: New York Giants' Dave Gettleman wears N95 mask in his own home, gets trolled brutally

The virtual NFL 2020 draft gave fans plenty to watch while cooped up at home. One of the highlights that had fans and celebs in splits was David Gettleman, Senior VP and GM of the New York Giants attempting to wear his mask while at home. Randy Scott, Sportscenter anchor tweeted: "More video of David Gettleman attempting to put on a mask, please and thank you." And a landslide of tweets followed.

"If there’s one thing we remember from this draft, it’s David Gettleman wearing a mask in the confines of his own home. #NFLDraft2020" wrote a fan. "David Gettleman putting on his mask in preparation for his isolated zoom meeting," said another.

"David Gettleman tries to sneak his mask on a little late...#NFLDraft," read one of the tweet. "Hahahaha David Gettleman is putting a mask on when he’s in an empty basement all alone," joked another. 

"First of all why is David Gettleman wearing a mask in his own house? Second, why tf did they just pass on Simmons?" asked a fan.  "David Gettleman is afraid of getting a computer virus I think. #NFLDraft" tweeted a fan. "DAVID GETTLEMAN has a mask on IN HIS OWN HOME. BY HIMSELF. This is who we have running the Giants. A moron. I’m mad as hell, how you pick the 5th best tackle available at the 4th pick IN THE FIRST ROUND?!?! Isiah Simmons was THE PICK TO TAKE. IM TIGHT," a fan said. 

"Wait... does David Gettleman think he needs to wear a face mask when talking with someone on Zoom???," exclaimed one of the fans.

What is wrong with him #NFLDraft2020 ", "David Gettleman with a mask on at home lol I love this guy" and to sum up, here's one tweet: "I used to defend David Gettleman when he was the Panthers GM, but after seeing him wearing a mask in his own home I feel so stupid. I mean dude what are you protecting yourself from IN YOUR OWN HOME!? #NFLDraft"

Spread across three days and seven rounds, the 2020 NFL Draft will begin on April 23, Thursday, at 8 pm ET and go on till 12 pm ET on Saturday, April 25.

Saturday, April 25: Rounds 4 to 7 - 12 pm ET
