Newlywed couple expecting first child in April killed in car chase while 'fleeing aggravated burglary'
A newlywed couple who were expecting their first child in April were killed after their car crashed into a bus during a high-speed chase with police after a suspected aggravated burglary in London.
Patrick McDonagh, 19, and his pregnant wife, 18-year-old Shauna, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash after they were chased on the wrong side of the road following the burglary at a house in Harrow, North London.
A third person was apprehended from the car and immediately taken to a nearby hospital. His indentity and condition are not known. The incident happened at around 8:40 pm on February 10.
A witness said that the car crashed through the railings, before smashing into a bus and bursting into flames. A police helicopter had been called in to assist the authorities in the high-speed chase and reports from social media said that as many as 10 police cars had been involved in the chase, The Sun reported.
