Pre-match buzz

The Mets beat the Orioles 9-4 on Wednesday, September 2, and that win was some pride salvaged after losing out the first two games. The win meant the Mets would improve their record to 16-21 and will be looking to keep up some level of consistency when they take on the Yankees. Robert Gsellman is the man to watch out for the Mets. The last time these two sides played, he went four innings and allowed four hits and a run.

The Yankees won three of five games against the Mets and that will be the confidence booster as they take the field. Left-hander JA Happ will be starting off for the Yankees. They have quite a few injury concerns with Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton currently on the injured list. Infielder Gleyber Torres is down with a hamstring issue.

Who will win?

Despite the injury setbacks, the Yankees will be a confident lot going into the game. Not to mention, the loss against the Rays means they have to use every game as a platform to add some points.
