HACKENSACK, NEW JERSEY: A 21-year old New Jersey man was charged in the death of a 19-year-old woman he allegedly had rough sex with after a Halloween party.

Michael T. Gaffney, as reported by the Daily Voice, was charged with reckless manslaughter following the autopsy results of the woman identified as Francis Victoria Garcia.

New York Post reported that Garcia was found dead early Saturday, November 2 in her car on the roof of a parking garage alongside an 18-story high-rise.

Officials said she had left a Halloween party with Gaffney who is now the main suspect in her murder. The autopsy revealed compression injuries to her neck, however, it was not immediately clear if rough sex was the cause of death.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella termed it as "a suspicious death".  It was also not clear whether the duo knew each other previously or if they'd just met at the party.

Prosecutors said the police had received a 911 call reporting her death ar 2:14 am. They were directed to the detached parking garage at 140 Prospect Avenue, a luxury high-rise apartment complex.

A neighbor, who asked for her identity to be kept a secret, told The Post that Garcia had attended a loud Halloween party on the 14th floor on Friday night. She added that the doorman was summoned after a point.

Gaffney told the police that he and Garcia were having sex in the car when she lost consciousness. He added that the couple had consumed a prescription medication, according to the Hackensack Daily Voice report.

Garcia was pronounced dead at the Hackensack University Medical Center. Gaffney was ordered to be held without bail at the Bergen County Jail and is pending an appearance at the Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack. The autopsy results are yet to be revealed publicly.
