LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: While K-dramas are taking Netflix by storm, there are many elements that are changing simple narratives for the future of cinema. Korean dramas do a great job of presenting a difficult subject with immense perfection and sarcasm, making it easy to relate to and leaving audiences wanting more. The latest Netflix production to hit last week is 'Doctor Cha.' The series picks up some common elements from the life of an ambitious woman who dreams of becoming a doctor, but fate takes a different path. Episode 3 of 'Doctor Cha' has just been released, and we are pretty excited about the pace and depth of the series' content.

Episode 3 shows Jung-sook miraculously receiving her residency at the same hospital where her husband works and her son interns. The episode shines a spotlight on many deep-rooted social problems such as sexism and ageism, but still captivates the audience with plenty of humor.

'Doctor Cha' Episode 1 Review: Netflix's heartwarming K-drama leaves viewers wanting more

Chaos with a side of comedy

Jung-sook gets her residency, and on her first day, she seems to be all over the place. To add more spice to the drama, Korean McDreamy, Roy Kim, comes to the hospital as one of the professors, seeking a full-time position. Roy Kim and In-ho meet for the first time, and the two have a tense discussion about Jung-sook's decision to become a resident. Funnily enough, Jung-sook and Roy Kim meet on the same day after a busy day at work and discuss the same thing, but the tide turns when Roy Kim throws Jung-sook a curveball and asks her why she has not divorced her husband yet. Jung-sook then goes into detail, explaining that ending a relationship is much harder than marrying someone.

Chemistry between Jung-sook and Roy Kim is palpable

It is quite exciting to imagine what the future holds for Jung-sook and Roy Kim. Even though he is clearly a love interest for Jung-sook, it is exciting to see how things develop and what the future holds for Jung-sook. The intensity in the duo's conversations makes them perfect for each other, but only time will tell how far this connection will go.

'Doctor Cha' is now available to watch exclusively on Netflix.
