Spoilers 'Ozark' Season 3 Episodes 1-10

A classic tale of backstabbing and betrayal, 'Ozark' takes a mind-bending turn in its final five minutes. A deadly battle of power continues between Wendy Byrde (Laura Linney) and Helen Pierce (Janet McTeer) throughout the season, and it's only poetic that only one should live to see the day.

As soon as Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman), Wendy and Helen climbed aboard that private jet headed to Mexico to see drug kingpin Omar Navarro (Felix Solis), it was clear that an explosive ending was in the offing. Like a bolt from the blue, a bullet shot took Helen's life and blew her brains out. Like Wendy and Marty, witnessing that horror would make anyone jump out of their skin.

As the sun shines, a new future awaits the Byrdes, but not without big scandalous twists and turns. Nearly every character in the series saw a development, thus making for an exceptional story arc. And for fans waiting with bated breath to see 'Ozark' Season 4, here are all the possibilities on what the future would look like for the Byrdes, the drug cartel, the Kansas City mob, the Langmores and the sinister Darlene Snell (Lisa Emery).

Skylar Gaertner as Jonah Byrde and Tom Pelphrey as Ben Davis (Netflix)

Will Jonah go against his mother Wendy?

Thanks to Helen's manipulative ways, Jonah Byrde (Skylar Gaertner) is living under the impression that his mother took her own brother’s life. Ever since Ben Davis (Tom Pelphrey) entered their house, he developed a special connection with the little boy and it is only imperative that his death affects him the most. He made it clear to his parents that he hates them and their ways. For a boy who is way ahead of his age, the realization has struck that there’s no end to his power-hungry mother and highly manipulative father.

Does that mean he will walk his own path owing to the impact Ben’s death has had on him? The last scene, where he pulls the trigger point-blank, shattering the glass window, will haunt you for days to come. Moreover, remember how Wendy warned Charlotte, "Keep an eye on Jonah," right before heading out to Mexico? Does it all imply Jonah will go against his own mother, Wendy, to avenge Ben's death? It sure is a major possibility. One fan points out, "You guys giving Jonah too much credit he’s growing up to be a serial killer no doubt." But there could be a twist too. Will he accept his life for what it is and start working for their parents; perhaps replace Ruth?

Julia Garner as Ruth Langmore (Netflix)

Where is Ruth headed after her new beginning?

Devastated after Ben's loss, Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner) cuts ties with Marty and Wendy. Meanwhile, Darlene welcomes her with open arms as she plans on building an army with the Kansas City mob. Both Darlene and Ruth have had their share of experience in the world of drugs and gambling. The new association sparks enough interest to look forward to the next season.

But, how could we not address the bigger picture of the two most powerful women joining their hands? Besides competing with the drug cartel, Ruth and Darlene also need to learn to embrace each other’s flaws in order to be able to co-exist. Moreover, since both of them have enough reasons to hate the Byrde couple, should Marty and Wendy be scared?

Charlie Tahan as Wyatt Langmore and Lisa Emery as Darlene Snell (Netflix)

What's Darlene's real motive alongside Wyatt and Ruth?

With one of the most unexpected and iconic sex scenes on TV, Darlene and Wyatt Langmore (Charlie Tahan) f**k each other and start a new partnership. But why did Darlene choose Wyatt as her trusted companion? Moreover, she has not only established herself in the world of Missouri crime but also gained the support of Frank Cosgrove (John Bedford Lloyd) — another rival of Wendy and Marty.

With all her experience of dealing with heroin in the area, she also has the bold and bodacious Ruth in her camp. Is this an army Darlene has gathered to go against the Byrdes? The two don't seem to have much control over their life and with Darlene's strong counterattack, there may be more bloodshed.

Jason Bateman as Marty Byrde and Laura Linney as Wendy Byrde (Netflix)

Will Marty and Wendy's marriage survive?

Throughout the season, Marty and Wendy struggle with their marital strife. Constantly hurling cuss words at each other, they go to extreme lengths — from bribing the therapist to breaking away from each other. Their excuse to "protect their family" is getting old and repetitive and with all the horrific things they've already done, their mental balance is getting loose by the day. Will we finally see Marty and Wendy's divorce in Season 4?

Madison Thompson as Erin Pierce and Janet McTeer as Helen Pierce (Netflix)

Will Helen's daughter Erin take revenge?

With an epic take on dysfunctional families, 'Ozark' also shed light on how Helen and her daughter Erin Pierce (Madison Thompson) was flawed. In one scene, she even calls her a "f**king b***h" and after knowing about her truth from Ben's mouth, she disrespects and threatens to leave her. However, it is also true that Helen got Ben killed only for Erin's sake. Blood relations never really die, so will the next season show Erin avenging her mother Helen's death?

With all these shocking twists in mind, only time will tell how the deadly game will end for each character. As for now, we don't have any official confirmation on the release date of 'Ozark' Season 4, but going by the timeline, it may drop sometime in 2021.
