The Russo Brothers have taken the world by storm with their latest action flick ‘The Gray Man’ starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans in lead roles. Even though the movie received mixed reviews from critics, fans praised the Netflix film for its epic action sequences and impeccable acting performances. So, it doesn’t come as a shock that the streaming platform has decided to expand the ‘Gray Man’ universe with another movie.

Netflix has announced the Russo Brothers will be returning to direct the second movie in the aforementioned universe and Ryan Gosling will be reprising the role of Sierra Six. The sequel to the recently released is already in development and will see Joe Roth, Jeffrey Kirschenbaum, and Mike Larocca serving as producers. ‘The Gray Man’ sees Gosling playing the character of Court Gentry, a CIA Black Ops mercenary, who has got to know some really dark secrets about the organization he is working for. When Gentry decides to expose those secrets, he becomes a target of the CIA and its mission chief Denny Carmichael (Rege-Jean Page).

Apart from getting a sequel, the streaming platform has also revealed that a spin-off movie, written by acclaimed screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, is also in development that will focus on a different element of the ‘Gray Man’ universe. Meanwhile, Netflix recently revealed that the movie was seen for over 88.5 million hours in its first three days of release. Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot’s ‘Red Notice’ is at the top of the list with 148.72 million hours viewed while Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence’s drama movie ‘Don’t Look Up’ comes second with 111.03 hours viewed.
