'Dating Around' Season 2: Deva Mahal's date True leaves fans disgusted with his sexist attitude
When your date tells you that all his exes are either "suicidal or homicidal", that's the biggest red flag. If you ever thought that your blind date was terrible or awful, you should definitely check out Deva Mahal's episode on 'Dating Around' Season 2. Deva, a successful blues singer, decided to dip her toes into the dating world and have some fun after experiencing some major heartbreaks in life.
While she had no trouble wooing all her dates with her calm and confident demeanor, we can't say the same about her dates. One of her dates, True, in particular, was extremely painful to watch. From the get-go, True managed to only further tarnish his reputation with every sentence that came out if his mouth. From talking about his ex-wife, who he didn't want to stay with because according to him she wanted to be a "kept woman", to saying that his previous relationships were very difficult, everything about him was shady and a bit terrifying.
Towards the end of their date, he tells Deva that he has a tough time finding women to date because he exclusively dates bisexual women, and also because he is into poly relationships it makes it that much harder for him to find a partner. When Deva asks him more about his poly relationships, he reveals that he wants multiple women, but no men in the relationship. She then asks him if any of the women he is seeing can see other men. To this, he says a firm no and refuses to acknowledge that his viewpoint comes off as sexist.
Fans were disgusted with True and his sexist attitude. Several fans took to Twitter to express their disapproval. A fan tweeted, "This scene girl, we were right there with you. And literally saying he doesn't think that's unfair. Also, the person I date has to be Bi. Then also saying, I think all my partners are either homicidal or suicidal."
