OGALLALA, NEBRASKA: A young woman from Nebraska, who used to work at a daycare, was arrested and charged for allegedly abusing a toddler in her care. The accused, Courtney Ann Stickley, also shared the abuse video on Snapchat, which was later seen by the baby’s mother who then reported her to the police.

The 19-year-old was pressed with one count of committing negligent child abuse not resulting in serious bodily injury late last month in Perkins County Court after she allegedly assulted the 20-month-old boy at an unidentified day care center in Grant on April 25. The charges were brought against her when the baby’s mother reported her to the Perkins County Sheriff’s Office on June 13.

Kearney ABC affiliate KHGI reported, “The boy’s mother was provided with a Snapchat video taken by Stickley that reportedly showed her sweeping the boy’s feet out from behind him, causing him to fall and land on the floor, striking his buttocks, back and head before he cried. The sergeant says this was believed to be done knowingly and intentionally as the video started recording prior to Stickley sweeping the boy’s legs out from behind him.”

The cops also interrogated two former workers at the same facility and they reportedly confirmed that it was Stickley in the Snapchat video while identifying her clothes and things kept in the background. The ex-staffers also said that the video was taken in the toddler room.

As per reports, when Stickley was first interviewed regarding the accusations, she did not cooperate properly. Then again on June 24, the investigating sergeant tried to have a one-on-one with her but she refused saying she’s “too busy to do so for the next two to three weeks”. However, the very next day she was caught on a reckless driving complaint. Later in the night, she was detained on the child abuse charge. The sheriff’s office said that Stickley was then taken to Ogallala’s Keith County Jail. But after she paid 10-percent of her $7,500 bond, she was released.

The news has attracted eyeballs on Twitter as Stickley's actions could have seriously injured the baby. One user said, “Lock her up and throw the damn key away!” Another user tweeted: “Got some winners watching children. What an evil bitch.” “Should never be permitted to reproduce,” the third one stated. “Idiots still filming their crimes... I mean, she should be charged for all that plus being a moron! Then throw the book at her! Then throw it again.... Seriously,” the fourth one wrote.

It's like they WANT to go to jail..” “This generation has had their minds poisoned with sharing extreme acts, as their brains burn out the part that tells them ‘This should be shocking to you, to let you know this is wrong and dangerous.’ You should be worried about the future, as this is everywhere,” a tweet read.
